Pool Automation Repair Central Florida: Why Your System Matters

A pool automation system is meant to make ownership easier — one panel or app controlling your pump, heater, lights, and chlorinator. When it stops responding, loses connection, or starts giving false readings, you lose that control and often end up running equipment manually or not at all. Most automation issues come down to a failing control board, a lost Wi-Fi or network connection, or a sensor sending bad data to the system. The Pool Repair Guy diagnoses and repairs automation controllers and smart pool systems fast — most repairs run $250–$850 and are completed same-day to 2 business days. If the equipment your system controls also needs attention, see our salt chlorinator repair and pool lighting repair services. For background on smart pool technology standards, see the Association of Pool & Spa Professionals.

Energy Savings

A properly working automation system runs your pump and heater on efficient schedules instead of guesswork.

One System, No Guesswork

We make sure every piece of equipment your automation controls is reporting and responding correctly.

Automation Problems We Fix

What homeowners usually notice first:

  • The app says the system is offline. A dropped Wi-Fi bridge, a changed router password, or a failed communication board.
  • A button does nothing. A failed relay, actuator or wiring fault for that one piece of equipment.
  • Valves don’t turn for spa mode. A worn valve actuator, very common on older pads.
  • Wrong water temperature shown. A failed water or air sensor, which also throws off heater control.
  • Equipment runs at the wrong times. Lost schedules after a power outage, or a dying control board.
  • Messy, mixed wiring after years of add-ons, which causes random faults.

What we check

We test the control board, relays, actuators and sensors, and confirm each piece of equipment reports and responds. We reconnect the system to your Wi-Fi and app, and tidy the low-voltage wiring so the salt system, heater and variable-speed pump all talk to the panel.

Repair or upgrade?

If your controller is still supported, a part or rewiring usually fixes it. Older systems, such as Compool, often can’t get parts, so an upgrade to a current panel with app control makes more sense. For vacation rentals, automation lets you check and adjust the pool remotely between guests.

Systems we service and install: Jandy and Zodiac (AquaLink, iAquaLink), Pentair (EasyTouch, IntelliCom), Hayward (ProLogic, eCommand, AquaConnect), plus legacy Compool systems.

Typical installed prices

JobInstalled price
Spa timer or valve actuator$99–$226
Interface or control panel replacement$395–$475
Automation rewiring, including salt system tie-in$645
Compool to Pentair EasyTouch upgrade$800
New automation system with app control$1,450–$3,200

Prices include tax, labor and materials. Your exact price depends on your equipment and is confirmed in a free written quote.

How long it takes

Most repairs are done the same day or within two business days if a part is ordered. A new automation system is usually installed and programmed in one day.

Used this company to come out to fix an air leak in the equipment.. had to pay $250 deposit. Gave me a windows of 3 days.. canceled on appointment day the was 5 hours late the next appointment date.. he came out replaced $10 worth of gaskets. Not to mention he spoke no English. Luckily my neighbor spoke Spanish and still communication was vague. He left. Spa was still going down when shut off, I called them the next day.gave me another 3 day windows and had the gaul to send another $145 deposit.. now had to call another pool company to fix it.. it's beyond me how they have so many good reviews unless they are fake.. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!. They sub contract out to other repair guys... If I could do zero stars I would...

I called this company when my pool stopped running properly and was really impressed with how they handled it. They got back to me quickly and scheduled a visit within a few days. The technician showed up on time, figured out the problem without a lot of guessing, and explained what was wrong in plain terms. He gave me a clear price before starting any work, and the final bill matched it. The repair was done in one visit, and the pool has been working great since. They also cleaned up after themselves, which I appreciated.
