Gas Heater or Heat Pump: What We See and Fix

Common signs your heater needs service:

Gas heater clicks but won’t light. Usually a worn ignitor, a dirty flame sensor or low gas pressure.
Heat pump fan runs but water stays cold. Often a failed compressor capacitor, a bad contactor or a refrigerant problem.
Error codes or a blank display. A failed sensor, pressure switch or control board.
Heater shuts off after a few minutes. Low water flow from a dirty filter or a pump problem, which trips the heater’s safety switch.
Heat pump stops on cold mornings. Many heat pumps shut down below about 50°F outside air. Some models keep running into the low 40s.

What we check

On a service call we test the safety circuit, flow and pressure switches, sensors and board, and on gas units the ignition and gas supply. On heat pumps we check the fan, compressor, contactor and coil. Then we tell you whether a part fixes it or a replacement makes more sense.

Heat pump vs gas

Heat pumps cost less to run in Central Florida because the air stays mild most of the winter. Gas heats much faster, so it suits spas and pools heated only now and then. For vacation rentals, we install units with a lockout feature so guests can’t change the temperature.

Gave me a windows of 3 days.. canceled on appointment day the was 5 hours late the next appointment date.. he came out replaced $10 worth of gaskets. Not to mention he spoke no English. Luckily my neighbor spoke Spanish and still communication was vague. He left. Spa was still going down when shut off, I called them the next day.gave me another 3 day windows and had the gaul to send another $145 deposit.. now had to call another pool company to fix it.. it's beyond me how they have so many good reviews unless they are fake.. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!.
